What do the chiropractic schools in Georgia offer? Chiropractic is a health philosophy, a science of the nervous system and spine, and the art of naturally restoring people’s health.

Chiropractic is a licensed primary care profession. Chiropractors are most commonly associated with the treatment of neck and low back pain, but they are also trained to diagnose, treat, manage, and prevent conditions affecting other joints, tendons, ligaments, and muscles.

Consider a chiropractor to be a doctor who treats any type of muscle, bone, or joint pain or dysfunction.

Overview of the Chiropractic Schools in Georgia

Chiropractors, as primary healthcare professionals, can see patients without a referral from another healthcare professional, which means they must be able to assess patients’ overall health, including physical, emotional, and social well-being, and refer patients to other health professionals as needed.

They employ a variety of treatment techniques to alleviate pain and improve function. Joint manipulation is frequently used in conjunction with other myofascial (muscle and fascia) therapies, therapeutic exercise, and lifestyle advice, but chiropractors also employ a variety of other treatment methods.

A chiropractor will use an evidence-informed approach to determine the best way to treat each individual patient and will select the best therapeutic management for that specific patient.

Chiropractic is a rewarding career path with opportunities for advancement after graduation in areas of special interest such as sports, veterinary chiropractic, pediatric musculoskeletal health, and musculoskeletal neuroscience.

Some graduates pursue careers as researchers within the profession, taking advantage of a variety of opportunities such as roles in education and leadership.

Duties of a Chiropractor

Chiropractors typically perform the following tasks:

  • Examine a patient’s medical condition by going over his or her medical history and concerns, as well as performing a physical examination.
  • Examine a patient’s posture, spine, and reflexes.
  • Offer neuromusculoskeletal therapy, which frequently entails adjusting a patient’s spinal column and other joints.
  • Apply additional treatments to a patient’s injured areas, such as heat or cold.
  • Provide health and lifestyle advice to patients, such as exercise, nutrition, and sleeping habits.
  • Chiropractors are concerned with their patients’ overall health. Chiropractors believe that malfunctioning spinal joints and other somatic tissues disrupt a person’s neuromuscular system, resulting in poor health.

In addition to spinal adjustments and manipulation, some chiropractors use massage therapy, rehabilitative exercise, and ultrasound.

They may also use supports to treat patients and relieve pain, such as braces or shoe inserts. Some chiropractors specialize in areas such as sports, neurology, orthopedics, pediatrics, or nutrition, in addition to general chiropractic.

How Do You Prove Wrongful Death

How Do You Prove Wrongful Death?

chibueze uchegbu | August 3rd, 2022

When a family member is in an accident that results in the loss of their life, you and other surviving family members can experience financial loss and emotional hardship.

Not only are the cost of a coffin and other burial requirements expensive, but also the missing income and other services provided by the deceased make things difficult for their dependents. Once you prove a person is liable for an accident, you can pursue wrongful death charges.

Lawyers Wattel & York can help provide the proof necessary to show that the other party was negligent in some way.

Here are ways that you can prove that your family member was not at fault for their own injuries as you file a compensation claim.

[lwptoc]

Negligence And Duty Of Care

You must prove the other party was negligent. In general, a duty of care doesn’t have to be proven unless there was a professional relationship between your loved one and the other party.

For example, in a case of medical malpractice, the doctor owed your family member a duty of care because the clinic was treating the deceased family member.

However, in the case of a car accident, duty of care is already apparent because everyone on the road is required to follow traffic laws. To prove that the other party was negligent, they must have broken a law or acted recklessly.

Breach Of Duty

Once you’ve proven the other party was neglectful in some way, this is considered a breach of duty. This means that their actions were careless leading up to an accident and could have been avoided.

For example, in a slip and fall wrongful death case, the property owner may have caused a breach of duty by not clearing ice from their premises.

Causation

The actions of the other party have to be directly connected to the death of your loved one. If it happened by indirect means, your attorney may be able to prove how their actions led to the accident. However, in general, the only person who can be held liable is the one who caused the injury.

For example, if a pothole in the road caused your loved one to veer into another car’s path unexpectedly and resulted in a fatal car accident, the township may be liable.

Because the pothole forced the car to swerve out of their lane, your attorney may decide to put the blame entirely on the municipality that owns the road and not the other driver if they were not acting negligently.

Harm

There has to be some form of damage or proof that the accident resulted in harm done to the deceased. You cannot seek damages on behalf of your family member without proof their death was caused directly by the accident.

Forms of Damages That Can Be Used as Proof

Wrongful death damages cover the fiscal deficit created by a missing family member. In most wrongful death cases, you may be able to claim the following damages on behalf of your deceased family member.

Medical Expenses

Before the family member passed away, they may have suffered from injuries that required medical care.

These medical bills may have piled up before their death. Medical expenses stemming from the accident such as surgery, medication, physical exams, and lab tests can be covered in your compensation.

Funeral Costs

Funerals are expensive and often include the service, pamphlets, invitations, flowers, and other fees. Burial costs may be included as well. Urns or coffins are expensive. The cost of the embalming or cremation can also be added to the settlement total.

Loss of Potential Earnings

Wrongful death victims could have lived a full life and provided income to their dependents but are unable to when deceased. Their potential earnings can create hardship for loved ones, which is why you can also seek compensation for these damages.

Loss of Guidance, Protection, and Benefits

Non-economic damages can include the relationship and services that the loved one provided for their family members.

For example, they may have played a protective role in their loved ones’ lives. They also may have provided guidance and an inheritance for their descendants.

Pain and Suffering Before Death

You can pursue compensation for emotional turmoil, and the surviving family members can report to their wrongful death attorney what kind of pain and suffering their loved one experienced before passing.

They may have suffered from shame, embarrassment, grief, depression, anxiety, and other negative emotions because of their injuries. With the help of an insurance adjuster, your attorney can calculate the pain and suffering.

Does My Family Member’s Accident Count as a Wrong Death?

You can seek the counsel of a reliable attorney to guide you through the process of filing a claim for your deceased family member. They can review your case and launch an investigation to find out whether or not you are owed compensation.

There are many ways that your family member could have experienced a wrongful death. They may have been in an automobile accident.

In other instances, they might have gotten into a slip and fall accident, resulting in premises liability. There is also the possibility that your family member purchased an item that caused a fatal injury, leading to a case of product liability.

Whatever the reason is, you should speak to a wrongful death attorney to determine if you should pursue the case and how much you may be owed based on the evidence available.

Best hospitals in Baltimore

Best hospitals in Baltimore

chibueze uchegbu | August 3rd, 2022

Baltimore has some of the most advanced medical facilities in the country. However, not every hospital is up to standard.

Hospitals in Baltimore were ranked 30th in the country for health and safety in the biannual Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades Report, which was released last week.

While ten facilities received an impressive A rating for their high levels of patient care, the majority of hospitals received average ratings, and five received an unsatisfactory D.

Every year, over 400,000 people die as a result of medical errors, many of which could have been avoided.

Overview of the Best Hospitals in Baltimore

Hospitals have an obligation to prioritize their patient’s health and safety, and even minor lapses in safety protocols can have disastrous consequences.

Patients should be made aware when hospitals lack safety measures. People in Baltimore can take the first step toward avoiding avoidable medical errors by knowing which local hospitals to trust with their health and which to avoid in an emergency.

Related: Best psychiatric hospitals in California

This spring, the Leapfrog Group evaluated 40 Maryland hospitals, and 3 hospitals in Baltimore were among the Grade A rank, based on their overall performance in preventing avoidable medical errors and injuries. These are the hospitals that were evaluated and how they fared:

A Grade

  1. Anne Arundel Medical Center, Annapolis
  2. Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Baltimore
  3. Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Baltimore
  4. MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital, Leonardtown
  5. Mercy Medical Center, Baltimore
  6. Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury
  7. Suburban Hospital, Bethesda
  8. The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore
  9. University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center, La Plata
  10. The University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center, Towson

B Grade

  2. Adventist HealthCare Washington Adventist Hospital, Takoma Park
  3. Calvert Health Medical Center, Prince Frederick
  4. Carroll Health Center, Westminster
  5. Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick
  6. Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland
  7. Howard Country General Hospital, Columbia
  8. MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, Baltimore
  9. MedStar Montgomery Medical Center, Olney
  10. UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center, Glen Burnie
  11. Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland

C Grade

  1. Bon Secours Hospital, Baltimore
  2. Fort Washington Medical Center, Fort Washington
  3. MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital, Baltimore
  4. MedStar Harbor Hospital, Baltimore
  5. MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center, Clinton
  6. MedStar Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore
  7. Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown
  8. Northwest Hospital, Randallstown
  9. Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Baltimore
  10. Union Hospital, Elkton
  11. University of Maryland Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre De Grace
  12. University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore
  13. University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus, Baltimore
  14. University of Maryland Medical Center Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air

D Grade

  1. Doctors Community Hospital, Lanham
  2. Holy Cross Germantown Hospital, Germantown
  3. Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring
  4. St. Agnes Hospital, Baltimore
  5. University of Maryland Prince George’s Hospital Center, Cheverly

A lot of hospitals in Baltimore were included on the list. Specialty hospitals (children’s hospitals and surgical centers) and critical access hospitals are excluded from the review.

Statistics on smaller centers, such as military or veteran’s hospitals, may also be lacking. These facilities currently lack the resources to provide the data required for a thorough review, and Leapfrog experts are working on ways to better evaluate these hospitals in the future.

Needs in Baltimore Hospitals

When it came to hospitals in Baltimore, these facilities performed admirably. Baltimore is home to four of the state’s ten A-rated hospitals, as well as one B-rated facility.

Baltimore hospitals that did not receive high marks (seven C-rated and two D-rated facilities) are struggling to provide high-quality care across multiple safety measures.

When it comes to the two hospitals that received a D-rating, they performed below average in areas such as:

  1. Reducing MRSA infection spread;
  2. Slowing C.diff infection;
  3. Leaving dangerous objects in patients’ bodies;
  4. Surgical wound splits
  5. Death caused by treatable complications;
  6. Patients who develop serious breathing problems;
  7. Patients who develop dangerous blood clots;
  8. Hand washing;
  9. medication communication;
  10. discharge communication; staff collaboration to prevent errors;
  11. tracking and reducing patient risks
  12. Effective leadership to prevent errors;
  13. an adequate number of qualified nurses;
  14. communication with doctors and nurses;
  15. and hospital staff responsiveness

These errors are seldom deliberate. Most hospitals have protocols in place to address these neglected or ineffective safety measures. In other cases, hospitals may have been unaware that they required specific safety protocols and have been attempting to reduce the risks of medical errors in these areas through other failed interventions.

Concerning the Grade

The Leapfrog Group has been committed to saving lives by reducing the number of hospital errors through education and transparency since 2000.

By holding hospitals accountable for their actions, this non-profit has significantly improved hospital performance and guided facilities toward better patient safety solutions.

The hospital grades are determined by examining 28 hospital safety measures that protect patients from avoidable harm. The measures are divided into five categories so that patients can easily compare them, including:

  1. Infections;
  2. Issues with Surgery;
  3. Error-Prevention Techniques;
  4. Problems with safety; and
  5. Doctors, nurses, and hospital personnel

Each measure is scored and assigned a rating of below average, average, or above average so that patients can easily compare hospitals in their area.

Hair transplant in Turkey

Hair transplant in Turkey

chibueze uchegbu | August 2nd, 2022

There are a lot of things to learn about hair transplants in Turkey. Today, we bring to your screen the essential things to consider if you wish to have a hair transplant in Turkey.

They can be found all across Istanbul. I’m referring to the males who have red dots on their heads, indicating that they recently underwent a hair transplant procedure. They are on their way to becoming the distinguishing feature of popular shopping areas in Istanbul.

There were 923,599 hair restoration treatments performed worldwide in 2010, according to the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, creating a 1.88 billion dollar business.

What is a hair transplant?

Patients who are suffering from hair loss can undergo hair transplant surgery, in which healthy hair from their back and sides is transferred to portions of the scalp that are bald.

The donor hair that grows on the back and sides of the scalp is protected from the destructive effects of dihydrotestosterone, an androgen that causes pattern baldness, unlike the hair on the top of the scalp.

Related: Cost of hair transplant in Australia

However, a hair transplant isn’t just for those who have lost all of their hair. Alopecia areata and circular hair loss are examples of additional types of hair loss that can be treated using this method, which is why it’s also called hair restoration.

How much is a hair transplant in Istanbul, Turkey?

The hair transplant cost is far more modest when compared to those in other parts of the world. For the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) procedure, the price can range anywhere from $7,000 to $25,000 in either Europe or the United States.

However, the total cost of the procedure in Turkey ranges from $2,200 to $7,00 depending on a number of factors including the number of grafts required, the method that is selected, the clinic, and the surgeon.

In the United States, the total cost of the procedure does not include the cost of travel or lodging.

Why Choose to get a hair transplant in Turkey?

There is not a shred of doubt in anyone’s mind that Turkey is one of the most powerful players in the sector.

The question now is, what exactly is driving Turkey’s meteoric leap to the top of the hair transplant industry worldwide?

Here are the top eight reasons why you should get your hair transplant in Turkey.

  • Advanced techniques

The FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) technique is the one that surgeons in Turkey prefer to use because it results in less discomfort during recovery, leaves no visible scars, and facilitates a more rapid recovery time.

Additionally, the procedure does not involve the use of scalpels, staples, or sutures.

The Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) method involves the removal of the patient’s skin. In contrast, the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) technique involves the removal of the patient’s donor hair follicles one at a time from the patient’s donor area and the subsequent transplantation of those follicles one by one into the thinning area.

  • High quality

Clinics in Turkey are constantly working to enhance their procedures, conditions, and facilities in order to provide patients with the highest possible level of care. This is because of the intense level of competition that exists within the industry.

  • All inclusive packages

Because of the intense competition that exists between the clinics, there is not much to be said regarding the amenities that are made available to them.

They provide their patients with complimentary services such as free airport transportation, free airline tickets, complimentary accommodations in quality hotels, and more.

  • They have the wonderful surgeons

In Turkey, hair restoration has been and continues to be a popular trend for many years.

Therefore, there are a significant number of surgeons who have worked in their respective professions for a significant amount of time and who have access to the most cutting-edge technologies and therapeutic strategies.

  • Waiting list

You won’t have to wait for several months as you would in the United States or European countries because there are a large number of high-quality clinics that have been accredited by the JCI in order to accommodate the demand.

  • Geopolitical position

It not only attracts patients from Asia and Europe, but also from North Africa and the Middle East. It acts as a bridge between these three continents.

Also, it can be observed that there is a high demand in Turkey, which has led to there being a large supply as a result.

  • The one-of-a-kind tourist attractions it offers as well as the warmth of its welcome

Turkey receives over 37 million visitors annually, with approximately 270,000 of those visitors coming for medical treatments.

They will have a wonderful opportunity to spend their time recuperating in Turkey at some of the country’s wonderful tourist spots and urban attractions. They will also experience no discomfort because the people of Turkey are quite kind and hospitable.

What is the success rate of hair transplants in Istanbul Turkey?

There is a one hundred percent chance of recovery if you go to one of the hospitals or clinics in Istanbul or anywhere else in Turkey that is exceptionally well equipped and features the most recent medical technology, in addition to quality care provided by world-class surgeons and medical professionals.

You should be aware that proper execution will increase the likelihood of success, and that the hair must be transplanted in competent hands along the appropriate distance, angle, and density to the bald areas. You should also be aware that the clinics and hospitals in Turkey are required to have certification from the Turkish Ministry of Health.
